Dealing With Plumbing Emergencies

Any problems such as broken, frozen or leaking pipes, gas leaks, break down of your central heating system or sewer backup constitutes as plumbing emergencies. These kinds of emergencies can damage your home and must be attended to immediately by a professional. So if there is any risk to your home, it is best to get it looked at by an emergency plumber.

What you should do in case of a plumbing emergency

Gas leak: In the case of a gas leak in the house, first turn off the main valve and call the emergency plumber immediately to attend to the problem. A gas leak is dangerous and can cause grievous harm to lives and property. In case you smell any gas around the house, get it checked at once.

Leaking or burst pipes: In the case of leaking or burst pipes, shut off the main water valve and then call a plumber to fix the problem. Leaking or burst pipes must be replaced or repaired by a professional plumber who can also check the rest of the plumbing in your home for any other damage.
